Local Artist Dylan Bloom Witnesses Country Music History, Luke Combs Invited To Join Opry

North Bend native and local musician Dylan Bloom got quite the surprise yesterday while attending Tuesday’s Grand Ole Opry performance.

It just so happened, country music history was about to unfold!

Nothing compares to the shock Luke Combs felt as he was asked the question of a lifetime.

Fellow artists Chris Janson, Craig Morgan and John Conlee lined up around Combs onstage. Before long, the trio asked in unison if he’d become the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry.

Emotional and dazed, Combs bent over to hide his face. After a few moments to himself, he hugged the three others close and appeared astonished.

Only two other members have been asked to join this year; Kelsea Ballerini and Mark Wills.

Bloom says he is in awe at what he witnessed.

“I’m still jacked about it,” he said.

“The lineup was awesome. Best show ever!”
